Mostly serious playing..., for me, Still re reading Chapter 11 through 14 of "Fooled" and feel like I am back to my normal "cluster minded" self. I am over most issues of the past few weeks now and will simply move on.
A simple quote from the very end of the book for you all... "The only article Lady Fortuna has no control over is your behaviour. Good Luck." The quote was soooo good I put it in two straight updates.
I am still only posting totals and even though I won a few tournaments this past week, I am not highlighting which ones they were, I do have records at home and am happy to slowly build points on Mansion and try to earn the bonus. Keep in mind it is the only site I currently play on where I have never deposited any money, ever.
I am up to being able to play 6 tables at a time with comfort, though I find it most profitable to only play 4 and at times add a 5th, if it's a free roll. When I am doing better I will try the "free roll game" and try to get up to playing 7-8 tables at a time, but not as soon as I would have thought, which I am totally fine with.
I am still doing a lot of family time and have only been playing poker late at night when the kids have been tucked in and are happily sleeping. Baseball for me, soccer for the kids and the batting cage have taken up half of any spare time.
Cleaning out the fish tanks and lizard cages was also on the "to do" list for this week.
Videos for training and a lot of reading on Poker strategy, as I have moved up a level, have also taken a lot of my training time.
Movie night was great this week as I took my oldest son to see Terminator and all 3 boys to see Night at the Museum 2, which both happened to be way better than I expected. It's good to have low expectations as in turn it is difficult to be disappointed.
Getting upset about life's trivial issues was and is a long term battle but have found interesting ways to block out the "noise" and deal with what comes 1 thing at a time. For some reason I can always find something to get "worked up" about but need to step back and realize that which I have no control over and let things run there course.
Life is a wonderful journey and I am happy to simply play my part, which is to be the best me I can be... and feel I am doing a heck of a job at that.
I have learned to block chat while playing poker and block avatars on the poker rooms that have them, as well play the best game I can while I learn to become better.
Other kids at school have started being "mean" and making fun of my youngest who was born with Russell Silver Syndrome and hemi-hypoplasia which I didn't expect until at least grade 1. Wow Jr. Kidergarten can be tougher than I had imagined and I have set up a meeting to talk with his teacher to ensure all is done to avoid the kids in his class being cruel and teasing David Jr.

My "self-healing break" continues and is ongoing. Quitting smoking isn't going to well, in fact I am almost stopped trying to quit for a few weeks and am preparing to mentally quit as that is needed before I actually try to quit physically.
My brain is still an over emotional over thinking creation, but I have learned to accept that I am not perfect and can forgive myself for past and present mistakes, I wrote this again for myself to remind me it is true, yet I need to remember it is true and not just type it in the blog.
Favorite movie watched this week "Terminator 4", I did watch like 4 rented movies and not much T.V., except for poker shows and whatever the wife is watching before she prepares for bed each night.
Need to watch all the new video content from PokerVT and catch up on the strategy available to my new level on Poker strategy for tournaments and SnG's.
Best of luck to all at the tables and I wish everyone and there families total success in all your endeavours.
Cheers and Shambone!

6th Update... Weekly Bi-Weekly... Whatever
Serious playing... a lot of tournaments, for me, but before I get to my bankroll totals I wanted to simply say this:
I have finished and will begin re-reading "Fooled By Randomness". I wish I would have finished it 2 weeks ago, as it may have saved me from getting over emotional about a few issues in my life which all seemed to build up around the same time. I made a blog entry a few days ago and haven't posted it and probably never will.
All I can really say about the last few weeks is reading Chapter 13 and 14 of "Fooled" has helped me deal with some extreme emotional swings, and having the opinion of a person I respect destroy me emotionally. I am over it now and will simply move on.
A simple quote from the very end of the book for you all... "The only article Lady Fortuna has no control over is your behaviour. Good Luck." I will read Chapters 13 and 14 many times prior to reading the book a 2nd time.
My "hero" Nick is no longer a Pro at PokerVT, due to some unforeseen circumstances and I can only hope that he is able to return in the future to the site.
Okay so down to the basics, I have played enough tournaments lately that I am choosing to only post the total amount of games played and my current bankrolls on each site from now on. It simply takes too much time and effort to write down every tournament and buy in level. I do have personal records at home and writing them down has taken a lot of time. I did play out my bonus at Full Tilt and will be focusing on playing out my bonus at Mansion poker over the next month or so. I am up to being able to play 6 tables at a time with comfort and will maybe consider adding a few more in a month or two, maybe sooner.
I have been very busy with family time, soccer and swimming with the kids, fireworks, mother's day, baseball, movie night, batting cage, saving money to pay of the car repairs and focusing on my personal health. Which I am proud to say has almost returned to normal for a 45 yr old. Next step is to get me to the health of a 40 yr old. Yes I know I am 35... however last year at this time I was in the hospital 3 days a week and getting tested for everything the Doctor's could think of. I am on 4 different pills to keep my organs running normal and the fact that I am able to spend so much time on other things than appointments brings me to great joy that I am sure most people will never understand.
Getting upset about life's trivial issues was something I hadn't done in a long time and find it a learning experience to say the least... even if I am ignorant, unstable and a common moron! Cheers to accepting my faults and forgiving myself for my mistakes!

5th Weekly Update!
HAPPY 1st DAY OF THE MONTH!!!
Here it is folks... back to playing seriously but before I get to my bankroll totals I wanted to simply say this:
Only 3 more chapters to go... and I will begin re-reading "Fooled By Randomness" I find myself having to read pages over a few times as my brain likes to wounder as well as grasp the entirety of what Mr. Taleb is saying...
I fully understand how I didn't fare well in "High School" and dropped out, but did well in the Social Sector of studies when I returned to College as a mature student, I simply think and learn a different way, and need to apply focus when trying to read words on paper without pictures!
I might be playing Nick Rainey, a PVT Pro tonight for the HU match, and the Final table for the SNG Challenge should play out this Sunday if all the players can agree to a time, if not I am sure it will play out next Sunday.
Best wishes to you all the monkey/bear men... especially those beginning a "new" training... Cheers!
Okay so down to the basics, I haven't done much "playing" lately due to my "break/retreat" lots of family time, lots of "me" time, and lots of training videos. I have decided to slowly break my "addiction" to free rolls and move up in the buy-ins on almost all of the poker rooms/sites I play in, even if my bankroll isn't ready for it. I have bonuses to play out and earn on both Mansion and Full Tilt that will simply expire if I don't so cheers and best of luck at the tables to me. I haven't made a deposit in any site in over 2 months and feel my level of training and understanding of the game will allow me to make this jump, worse to worse I have my $50 deposit rule if I happen to need it.
